Faculty Services

Email ace@seu.edu to request resources, a presentation, or workshops for your class(es).

Steelman Library also holds various resources that you may access.

SEU faculty or staff may refer students to ACE for tutoring, workshops, or other academic concerns. ACE encourages faculty to use the Early Alert system to report all academic concerns, including academic integrity issues, as this allows the university to assign the case to the appropriate interventionist and track case management.

Contact Glorie Rodriguez Figueroa Retention Coordinator, for any questions or additional information.

Early Alert is the university’s central processing system for identifying students in need of additional support and tracking applied interventions.

Follow the instructions below on how to submit an Early Alert report, and if you are concerned about a student, click here to submit the report.

Step 1: Log into jics.seu.edu
Use your SEU ID and if you have not changed your password already, the default password is the last four digits of your Social Security Number.

Step 2: Click on “Submit an Early Alert”
Once you are redirected, your name should appear in the gray box.

Step 3: Click “Submit Early Alert For”
Look for the student by first name, last name, or ID number. Click the green button next to their name to add. Multiple students can be added and submitted as a batch.

Step 4: Select the Relationship
Choose the role that best describes how you know or interact with the student(s).

Step 5: Select the Type of Concern
Only one type of concern can be selected per student/batch

Step 6: Select the Security Level
Use university withdraw deadlines, academic performance, and student engagement to determine the risk level for academic concerns.

Step 7: Provide Narrative Details
Please provide details regarding the concern and any interventions you have initiated.

Step 8: Provide a Student Interaction Report
Provide a response if you have been able to connect with the student about your concerns.

Step 9: Submit
You will receive an email message notifying you that your submission was successful.

Testing & Proctoring Services

The SEU Office of Testing & Proctoring services provides testing services to
students and faculty.

863.667.5116  |  testing@seu.edu

Extended Testing and Proctoring Services
Available for students who are eligible through the Office of Academic & Auxiliary Services.

CLEP (College Level Examination Program) Testing
CLEP tests are only offered on select days and times. Please contact the Testing Center or visit their office in Buena Vida East 210 for more information or to schedule your appointment. Appointments should be scheduled at least one week in advance.

The College Level Examination Program provides an opportunity for a student to earn college credit by examination. Southeastern University accepts all CLEP exams listed on collegeboard.com, with these exceptions:

  • Introduction To Educational Psychology
  • Freshman Composition
  • College Composition Modular

You do not have to be a Southeastern University student to utilize our Testing Center. Contact the SEU Testing Center (testing@seu.edu) to schedule an appointment to take a CLEP exam. All SEU degree-seeking students must complete an eligibility form before an appointment can be scheduled. The form will be reviewed to determine if the degree-seeking student meets SEU guidelines for awarding CLEP credit. These guidelines are listed below. One form per CLEP exam must be completed.

  • CLEP credit can be transferred to an Associate’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree.
  • CLEP credit cannot be transferred to an academic record belonging to a non-degree-seeking student.
  • To receive credit, a minimum scaled score at or above an established national percentile must be earned on each area tested. Details are available at collegeboard.org.
  • To receive credit for a qualified CLEP test, a degree-seeking student must not be currently enrolled in, have completed, or earned a “W” in an equivalent or more advanced college course.
  • CLEP credits combined with AP, IB, AICE, PLA, and military credit cannot exceed 45 college credits.
  • Twenty-five percent of college courses must be earned through Southeastern University.
  • Credit cannot be duplicated.
  • For non-SEU students, please contact your host institution regarding CLEP eligibility.
  1. Students register online through College Board by visiting https://clep.collegeboard.org/. Check the College Board website for current pricing for CLEP test registration. Most CLEP tests take a maximum of 90 minutes. You must print out the College Board registration ticket on the screen after registration is complete and bring it to your testing center appointment. Without the College Board registration ticket, you will NOT be able to complete the CLEP.
  2. If testing at SEU, you must also pay the $15 testing fee at the cashier on the 2nd floor of Addison. After you have made the payment, ask the cashier for the receipt and bring it to your testing center appointment.
*It is recommended to pay by cash or check, as credit cards will incur a 2.85% fee.
  3. When signing in at the testing center for your CLEP appointment, you will need to present a government-issued photo ID, your College Board registration ticket, and your SEU testing fee receipt.
