About the Hispanic Leadership Center

In partnership with the National Latino Evangelical Coalition (NaLEC), the Adolfo Carrión Hispanic Leadership Center encourages and creates educational opportunities for Hispanic students, builds relationships across the nation through partnerships with local churches, and fulfills the university’s mission of equipping students to discover and develop their divine design.

The Carrión Hispanic Leadership Center is named in honor of Rev. Dr. Adolfo Carrión, Sr.

The Rev. Dr. Gabriel Salguero serves as the Distinguished Fellow of the endowed chair.

About Rev. Dr. Adolfo Carrión, Sr.

The Carrión Center is named after Rev. Dr. Adolfo Carrión, Sr., founding chairman of NALEC, Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Spanish Eastern District for over 30 years, and founder of the Florida Multicultural District and Puerto Rico District of the Assemblies of God.

About the National Latino Evangelical Coalition (NaLEC)

The mission of the NaLEC  is to respond to a real need for Latino and Latina evangelical voices committed to serving Christ, empowering the Latino church, serving the common good, and pursuing justice in the public square. 

Through this partnership, SEU aims to better serve NaLEC pastors and congregations with affordable and accessible education through a direct partnership to the Lakeland campus and through delivering this education at the local church level.
