Director Bloodworth started his academic career at the University of Florida with a dual focus on business and pre-med. Upon graduating with distinction, he began working at Lakeland Regional Health’s Emergency Department, where his passion for medical missions emerged. There, he enjoyed assisting in training emergency and trauma staff and many facets of the hospital’s business operations, especially financial services. He gained invaluable leadership experience working with the financial team on records, insurance inquiries, and implementing Siemens Healthineers/Cerner’s FirstNet Electronic Health Records system.
Director Bloodworth continued his academics at Southeastern University, earning his MBA with honors in Sigma Beta Delta’s International Honor Society for Business. Here, his heart for medical missions and educating others blossomed, leading him to St. George’s University, School of Medicine. Unfortunately, his M.D. was haunted by complications from an earlier battle with cancer, barring his path of continuing to residency. With the Lord’s continued grace, he chased his passion for healthcare, finance, and teaching through Anderson University’s DBA.
In the classroom, he strives to convey his God-given passion for education and create an environment that kindles students’ enthusiasm for learning. Director Bloodworth remains involved in our community through Grace City & Victory Church, the Advisory Council for Harvard Business Review, FBI Tampa/Lakeland's Ambassador, Take Heart Africa's Board of Directors, SEU's Alpha Chi Honor Society, Kiwanis, Rotary, and proud member of the Christian Business Faculty Association.
In his spare time, he enjoys flying, sailing, SCUBA diving, and skydiving. He is happily married to Marissa Bloodworth and sees the world through their daughter's eyes. The couple shares an avid love of experiencing different cultures, with their combined tally of 92 countries visited (and counting).
Professor Bloodworth is the director of Dual Enrollment, Online, and Partner Site Business and Leadership programs for the SEU Global Network and has taught Biology, Data Analytics, Healthcare Economics/Finance, International Business, International Finance, Investments, Macro and Microeconomics, Medical Terminology, Personal Finance, and Risk Management/Governance.
