Bio

Dr. Salguero is a respected theologian, pastor, and educator whose work bridges academic scholarship, public leadership, and pastoral ministry. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of The Gathering Place A/G in Orlando, Florida—an urban, multicultural congregation—and is the Founder and President of the National Latino Evangelical Coalition (NALEC), representing more than 3,000 Hispanic evangelical churches, leaders, and NGOs across the United States. Over the past two decades, Dr. Salguero has pastored vibrant congregations in Orlando, New York City, and New Jersey, and founded P.O.G., Inc., a missions organization dedicated to equipping Latino clergy and mobilizing short-term missions throughout the Americas. His ministry has also included chaplaincy at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Rutgers University, where he provided compassionate care and spiritual guidance in both clinical and campus settings.

An accomplished academic leader, Dr. Salguero has taught ethics and theology in Spanish at institutions including Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Princeton Theological Seminary, Indiana Wesleyan University, Olivet Nazarene University, and Alliance Theological Seminary. His scholarship and teaching focus on the intersection of faith, ethics, and public life—particularly within Hispanic and urban ministry contexts. He has served on numerous national and international boards, including the National Association of Evangelicals, Alianza Evangélica Latina, Southeastern University, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Dr. Salguero has also advised government and faith-based initiatives, including appointments to the White House Faith-Based Advisory Council, the New Jersey Equal Employment Advisory Commission, and the Bread for the World Board of Trustees.
