Her passion is implementing and teaching how to use play therapy and expressive arts techniques in counseling
As a licensed marriage and family therapist and clinical supervisor, Dr. Casado loves to see how clients can transform their lives and heal from previous traumatic experiences in therapy, specifically through the use of Play and Expressive Arts interventions and Trauma Based modalities such as EMDR/TBRI/ART. Her passion is understanding mental health through a holistic perspective and implementing mind-body-brain approach in working with individuals.
As a counselor educator, Dr. Montse has written and co-authored many publications over the years (articles, book chapters and books) in the areas of expressive arts, supervision, adoption, child-family therapy and couples therapy.
As an educator, researcher, trainer and international speaker, she has done many presentations over the years helping families and clinicians understand children through a holistic, trauma-focused and strength base approach.
Dr. Montse is a committed educator to improve the lives of children diagnosed with PANS/PANDAS and often does webinars and Podcasts, supports parents and trains other therapists on this topic.
In her free time, Dr. Casado loves to spend time in nature, walking and hiking or going to a playground with her daughter ready to play.
