Bio

Dr. Kasey Mueller begins her fourth year at Southeastern University after teaching at another institution since 2008. Before teaching, she worked in Parks and Recreation supervising athletics, and senior and youth programming for many cities. Shortly after graduate school, Dr. Mueller worked in facility operations and youth football for the Miami Dolphins.

Dr. Mueller loves the impact that sports have on families and communities. She is passionate about kids, sports and education. Being a student-athlete led to a lifetime love of the relationship between athletics and academics, her doctorate research topic. She has been a youth coach for basketball and baseball since her junior year in college. Dr. Mueller is also a certified health coach.

Dr. Mueller enjoys research and interactive learning. It is important to her that students are well informed and equipped with the skills to succeed in their field. Dr. Mueller also hopes to encourage her students to get involved in their communities and help others in need. She hopes to instill a desire in her students to follow their faith and heart toward a fulfilling career.

Dr. Mueller is originally from Ellicott City, Maryland but now lives in Lakeland, Florida with her son and three daughters, Brennan, Delaney, Delilah, and Decker. They enjoy being outdoors, volunteering, traveling, watching, and playing sports!
